4 1/2 lbs. of steek road frame for a rider in Tucson, Az.

This 6'3" rider wanted a real sturdy frame so I broke out some large diameter steel that usually is what I pick for 29er frames. I was pretty surprised when the resulting build came out at a taste under 4 1/2 lbs.
The frame will be painted a sky blue with some custom orange decals. The tubing is nearly all True Temper OX with some heavy Nova oval road chainstays. They were a bit tough to put the little bend in so they should add some stiffness to the rear end of the frame. The oversize seat tube is fitted with a reducer that allows for the use of a 27.2 mm seat post.
